Stream Survey – Activity

A stream or river is one of the most important ecosystems on the planet.  It is responsible for distributing water and nutrients around the planet to organisms that cannot survive without it.  Yet it is also one of the easiest to disrupt the delicate balance of the many organisms it contains.   Take a van down to the river and explore the amazing organisms that are sure to give you nightmares!

In this lesson we will

  • Visit a river, stream or lake to learn about freshwater aquatic ecosystems
